Description
All WAI overrunning alternator pulleys (OAP)/decouplers (OAD) are validated using OEM test specifications.Think of your alternator clutch pulley like a bicycle; as you pedal the bike (the alternator) gains speed. When you stop pedalling the bike keeps moving (as does your vehicle alternator). The pulley is what allows your vehicle to “free wheel” or stop pedalling but keep moving and will eventually slow down to come in line with your current speed. The pulley is also responsible for absorbing vibrations from the engine as you change gears. If the pulley is worn or has failed it won’t be able to perform correctly and your alternator (serpentine) belt could stretch or snap as a result meaning costly repairs.Want to make sure this fits your vehicle?
