Description
Application: Linear actuators are used for the electrical locking, unlocking or closing of closing and hinged systems in the automotive sector and in industrial areas. Examples of applications in mechanisms include: electric locking and unlocking, electric closing, electric opening and closing of any doors (locking systems), flaps, roof windows, seats, covers, bonnets, glove compartments, etc.Design and function: The two laser-welded polyamide housing halves contain an electric motor. As a result of the current flowing to the electric motor via pin 1 and pin 2, the motor moves a spindle gear which allows the plunger to retract or extend depending on the direction of rotation. The current supply with plus at pin 1 and minus at pin 2 causes the plunger to extend. The current supply with minus at pin 1 and plus at pin 2, allows the plunger to retract. The stability of the retracted/extended locking positions is achieved by the motor short-circuiting after activation. A PolySwitch (PTC) is integrated in the motor as thermal overload protection. Furthermore, it is possible to equip the actuators with automatic reset (retract or extend) via a drive spring. Accessories: The extensive range of accessories for the electromotive actuator consists of a wide variety of connecting elements. They allow the actuator to be easily integrated into the application without additional development effort.
