Description
The purpose of a steering rack gaiter is to keep the dirt out of the steering rack and keep the grease in to lubricate the rack. Steering gaiters are ribbed sleeves which are made of rubber/thermoplastic to increase flexibility to move with the steering racks movement. A damaged steering gaiter can lead to a faulty steering rack which can lead to serious safety problems whilst driving your car.
