Viking Paloma Girl’s Traditional Dutch Bike
Designed for the younger rider, the Viking Paloma inherits aspects from retro bikes and mixes them with modern-day features, creating a ride for all occasions. Whether it's a ride to the city or a countryside jaunt with friends, the Paloma has you covered with 6-speed gears, powerful V brakes for confident stopping in all conditions and a strong hi-tensile steel frame with a low step-over design. The retro-styled, swept-back handlebars replicate vintage cycling history, combined with silver lightweight alloy rims, twin steel mudguards and wide Kenda tyres for enhanced grip on road and trail surfaces.
Recommended for kids aged 7-9, any young cyclist is sure to love the stylish Paloma, capped off with a rear carrier for extra luggage, colour co-ordinated tan grips and, of course, pretty Paloma decals.

Boss Astro Dual Suspension 26-inch Mountain Bike 18-speed
The Boss Astro 26-inch Mountain Bike has a frame that's stronger than a traditional ‘Y’ design and provides greater saddle height adjustment. The responsive front suspension fork provides a robust ride when tackling uneven terrain, while 18-speed Shimano gearing is controlled by dual rotational shifters for a natural and seamless gear change.
Its 1.95-inch wide sure-grip ‘knobbly’ mountain bike tyres will keep riders moving in the right direction and are supported by lightweight and robust alloy wheel rims, offering a strong base for your ride. The rims are finished in matte black with colour matched decals to add a punch to the bike’s design. Meanwhile, thanks to the Astro’s fresh white frame, black components and stunning blue detailing have been added for a truly premium look – so it’s got style to match the substance. A well-padded, full-colour printed MTB saddle is fitted to a longer 300mm seat post for maximum height adjustment and an optimal fit. If searching for an eye-catching bike with the spec to impress, then the Boss Astro is the bike for you.
This off-road bike is suitable for inside leg measurement of 71cm - 81cm/28-34" (or riders 5ft 6in to 5ft 9in in height).
Thinking about going electric?
Electric bikes are growing quickly in popularity and, whether you’re new to cycling or you’re a regular rider, there are many reasons why you might want to jump on this growing trend – from health and fitness benefits to financial and environmental reasons.
While we’ve highlighted our top picks below, check out our full range of e-bikes here.
Dawes Arc II Electric Folding Bike
The new DAWES ARC II is an improved version of their previously very popular ARC folding electric bike. Being an electric bike, it has widespread appeal, offering improved mobility, a nice boost up hills and a greater return on effort, but this model also neatly folds away to be stored at home, at the office, or on public transport. The frame has a slender design but a strong make-up, and the battery is discretely hidden away inside the tubing. Not only does it power the 250W rear motor, but it can also charge mobile devices while the rider is in transit.
Range anxiety should be alleviated because it covers up to 21 miles, which should be more than enough for most commuters and leisure cyclists alike (for context, 80% of vehicle journeys in the UK are 20 miles or less).
And, as with all Dawes e-bikes, you can charge the battery on or off the bike. We find the 20-inch wheel size offers the ideal combination of comfort, stability and speed while still being small enough to fold down to an easily manageable size. What’s more, its fully adjustable, telescopic handlebar stem, 550mm seat post, powerful mechanical disc brakes, and Shimano 6-speed drivetrain give this Dawes e-bike a stellar arc!
PURE Flux One Electric Hybrid Bike
The Pure Flux One effectively resets expectations, recapturing the joy of cycling. Comfortable, lightweight and reliable, it delivers up to 25 miles of assisted range. Plus, it’s carefully designed around the innovative and durable Gates Carbon Drive™ – a powerful, smooth rear hub motor for low-maintenance and much less mess – with a convenient bottle-style battery system you can charge anywhere.
Making each cycle easier, the Pure Flux One is the stripped back, built-to-last e-bike that will get you from A to B without a hitch. With a robust lightweight frame and an impressive range to give you a boost, it has everything you need to take on the road ahead. What’s more, it’s one of the best value-for-money e-bikes you can get.
Viking Aviemore 17-inch e-bike
The Viking Aviemore takes a traditional, steel low-step 26-inch wheeled city bike and upgrades it to electric! Perfect for both men and women, the low step unisex design is a breeze to get on and off, while it also boasts a quality well-padded saddle and a comfortable upright riding position.
The bike is fully equipped with mudguards, a rear pannier rack, LED lights and a prop stand. Charge time for the large 7.8AH lithium battery is four hours so it is easy to top up during the day – whether you want to charge it when you’re in the office or overnight at home.
Viking Advance 18-inch Gents e-bike
The Viking Advance provides an assisted range of up to 30 miles from its powerful 36 Volt 10.4Ah battery. Rather than having a throttle, the motor helps you along when you start to pedal, and with its 21-speed Shimano drivetrain, you can still choose a comfortable gear and select the level of motor assistance you require depending on the terrain.
If you want to experience the thrill of some real off-road riding, the Viking Advance is the perfect choice – and it’s always ready to offer that little bit of extra help when the going gets tough. However, if you’re looking to work your legs that little bit harder, it also can be ridden without the battery as a regular bike.
Are electric scooters more your thing?
If you’re looking for something that’s lower maintenance, an electric scooter might be for you. At Arnold Clark Autoparts, we have scooters to suit juniors and adults. For example, the LI-FE 120 Junior Pro Electric Scooter is the perfect introduction to electric scooting. Great fun to ride and simple to use, the handlebar-mounted thumb throttle can be gradually pressed to increase speed all the way up to 12kph. Built to carry a maximum load of up to 50kg, it’s a great fit for children aged 8 years and above.
